More Than 30 Years of Experience
For more than 30 years, I've worked with children, teens, young adults, and families in a variety of settings. Much of my career was spent as a school-based therapist, giving me a deep understanding of how relationships, trauma, family dynamics, and life experiences affect emotional well-being.
Today, in private practice, I primarily work with teens and adults. I bring specialized training in trauma treatment and ADHD coaching, along with extensive experience using evidence-based approaches tailored to each person's needs.
Experience matters, but I believe the relationship we build is just as important to meaningful change.
A Little About Me
I genuinely love what I do, and I don't take lightly the trust involved when someone shares difficult or painful parts of their life. After more than 30 years in this profession, I still find this work meaningful, and I value the relationships and connections that develop along the way.
My understanding of life's challenges isn't only professional. Having experienced cancer myself, I understand something about the fear, uncertainty, and disruption that serious illness can bring. While everyone's experience is different, mine has deepened my compassion for those navigating unexpected life changes.
Most of all, I want you to feel seen and understood as a person—not simply as a diagnosis or a problem to solve. My hope is to help you recognize your own value, find hope during difficult times, and move toward a life that feels more peaceful, meaningful, and genuinely yours.
ABOUT ME
Real change isn't always easy. You don't have to face it alone.
Therapy can be hard, messy, emotional, and sometimes even awkward. It can bring up feelings we'd rather avoid and ask us to look at things that may be painful. But it can also bring relief, understanding, growth, and meaningful change.
My role isn't to tell you how you should feel or pretend to have all the answers. It's to listen, understand what you're going through, and help you make sense of what may be keeping you stuck.
Sometimes that means healing from something painful. Other times, it means learning new ways to cope, respond, or live with something you cannot change.
We'll do the work together, at a pace that respects where you are and helps you move forward.
What It’s Like to Work With Me
I want therapy to feel like a place where you can be yourself—without judgment or pressure to have all the answers. I'll listen carefully, ask questions, and help you recognize patterns or see things from a different perspective.
My approach is collaborative, honest, and respectful of your pace. I won't push you somewhere you're not ready to go, but I may gently challenge you when I believe it could help.
Therapy isn't always easy, it can be difficult and emotional, but it doesn't have to feel serious every minute. There's room for humor, laughter, and simply being human. We'll do the work together.
